Rene Caisse (Caisse spelled backwards spells Essiac) was a Canadian nurse who came across the Essiac-20 formula after she discovered its use by the Ojibwa Indians. Essiac-20 is composed four herbs: Burdock Root, Slippery Elm, Sheep's Sorrell, and Turkey Rhubarb. For years, cancer patients and people suffering from other degenerative diseases have taken Essiac-20 for their well being. Dr. Max Barlow originally brewed Essiac-20 laboriously into a tea, then perfected the formula into a fluid extract that retains all the health benefits of the original tea. It has an indefinite shelf life.
